About Willow

Willow was rescued in Texas by my son. She had been abandoned and unclaimed. He could not keep her due to his lease havings 2 dogs alreadyand found no 'no-kill' shelters in his area. So, Willow made a road trip back to live at my daughter's. A month later, she ended up with me. It seems Willow is the Alpha and will not lose that spot. While at my son's she had no problems with his 2 Male dogs. They slept, ate and played together. My daughter has a Male and female, and they were great for 3 weeks, then Willow went after the female at feeding time. It was the 1st time they had not been separated when a bowl was put down. Because there are small children there, I took her in. The 2nd night we had a tif because food was being prepared and the gate wasn't up. So, from that point on, gate up, bowls filled, hers out of sight from theirs. Never have an issue. They sleep together, play, wrestle, clean each other...then we awoke to chaos at 3am. No food was down. An hour previously they were sound asleep. She kept at our husky 3 times after being caught before stopping. When she went to the kennel, it was like a grounded child in the corner. She knew she did wrong and you can tell something has happened in her past. With all this being said, she is the sweetest, most loveable dog. Fully house trained. Loves rides. She does chew toys and play with them. She will even fetch at times. Will stay beside you outside off leash unless something catches her eye. We would love to see her go to a home with a young couple, older couple, someone who needs a single companion. Must be a stable home, she's been through a lot. She must be the only dog. If you plan on more, please pass her by, as I don't want her abandoned later for a new puppy.
