Meet Mr. Gentle - JESSIE he will conquer your heart. Lifetime of neglect and while his leg has a long time bacterial infection JESSIE bears no grunge. ADR.org will provide to Jessie what he deserves and we will make that very special home that will the rest of his life the best he ever had. JESSIE came out of a high kill shelter in Kern County, CA where he was 'red-listed'. Why..you are asking? well, because he was deemed unadoptable. What a shame. JESSIE took it all with a stoic mind. He was seen already by a vet and besides very low thyroid levels (which can be corrected with medication) we just have to get the infection under control. Treatment has started already. ADR.org is looking for a home that is calm, with or without another dog (possible female) but lots of green meadow to walk out to and a comfy dog bed. Nutritional food and TLC. ADR.org can see him in a home with daily walks - at his pace- and otherwise being able to walk a 87 lbs gentle giant that walks very slow. JESSIE is microchipped, will be up to date with vaccinations. It is too risky for now to neuter him at this moment because his thyroid is so low that he could bleed to death under surgery. So his thyroid level needs first to go up. JESSIE is a soul of a dog.
