About Toby

Toby is a playful and loving 2 yo old lab/pittie mix. He was rescued from Texas through Douglas County canine rescue. He was picked up as a stray it seems like he might've had some neglect or abuse In his past (Cowers at loud noises, missing his two outer front toes but he walks just fine with a slight limp, seemed unsure about anything new, ). Toby is such a good boy. He is a huge people pleaser and loves to play and loves short walks. He is a big couch potato, I think he loves it after being in a shelter for so long. He's very good out in the house while we are gone at work all day, no potty accidents or anything. I don't think he got a lot of attention in the past because he just loves it up and loves to just hang out near us. He is very smart and learns fast but will need someone with some patience as he is learning new manners every day and does have some puppy energy still . But he does learn extremely fast. Needs someone who doesn't mind playing with him, such as ball or tug a rope a few times a day. He still has some puppy energy and loves to play. When he is mellow, he is very mellow. Very good boy, love this dog!!
