About Skipper

Skipper Chihuahua Male About 3 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Good with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog Unknown with cats Needs an adult home Needs a quiet home environment Skipper was adopted last October, and recently was returned to the rescue. We may never know what made the match not a good one, but Skipper was clearly not happy in that environment and his family was unable to solve whatever the problem was. We always stand by our dogs, and Skipper came back to us and settled back in quickly with his previous foster. In his foster home, Skipper quickly relaxed and became a happy dog again! Skipper can be timid, and somewhat anxious - especially with new people and new environments - and needs people to be patient and go slow with him. He reacts out of fear when that doesn't happen. He needs a quiet home with a family experienced with the breed, where there aren't a lot of new people coming and going. Skipper will make a wonderful companion for the right family!
