Dewey Available for adoption through both our regular adoption program and our Seniors for Seniors program. Male Scottish Terrier About 9 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Will do best as an only pet Needs an adult home or one with older children (16 years old or older) Neutered Up to date with vaccines and tests Would do well with a family with a quiet lifestyle, and not a lot of people coming and going Dewey came to us from North Haven Animal Control, where he had been an owner surrender along with two other dogs. The two other dogs were adopted. We met Dewey and agreed to bring him into the rescue. Dewey does well with some other dogs, but he is selective and can be dominant in the home. We therefore want to place him in a home as an only pet. He is WAY too interested in cats for that to be a good match. Dewey has a true Scottish terrier personality - he needs a family to let him know that he is safe and does not need to be the one in charge. Once Dewey knows and trusts you, he is an absolutely wonderful cuddler. He is happy to curl up on the couch with you :) Dewey loves walks and is a playful, lovable dog.
