About Baby

Hello! My name is Baby. My mom named me that because I was only 8 weeks old when she got me and I was her only 'Baby'. I was born August 12, 2006 and am 12 years old. I am a domestic short hair, black and white tuxedo cat. I weigh 11 pounds and have my claws. I lived with my mom until she had to go to the hospital, then assisted living recently. 'At first I was afraid, I was petrified'. Those are words to a song that describes me. I WILL SURVIVE. I've been here at Safe Place for a couple months recovering from the trauma of losing my mom. Kinda like when you have a bad break up and need some time to recover. Now I'm ready to put myself back out there. I have spent my whole life indoors. I love sitting in the window sill. We lived on the third floor and it was nice going out on the balcony to get some fresh air. One of my favorite places is the back of the couch. It's my perch where I can see what's going on. I enjoy sleeping there sometimes. I like laying on the couch next to you, but I'm not fond of being held. I like to rub on people's legs if I am comfortable with them. Once I get to know you, cuddling is totally a probability! I might like sleeping on your bed, mine seems so small. I have been the only pet and have never been around other animals or children, so I'm not sure how I would act. It takes me a while to get comfortable around strangers so, I would probably do best in a similar environment. I am very independent, but do love companionship, like most of us do.
