About Charlotte (Sugar)

Meet Charlotte, also known as Sugar or Shuggie Bear. She is a 8 year old, 14 lbs chihuahua mix who was surrendered to us by her owner when they could no longer care for her due to their own health issues. Sugar was reported to have had 2- 3 litters in her previous home, but since coming to us she has been spayed. Unfortunately, she had some mammary masses from being unspayed. We did find that one of the masses did come back as cancerous, but they state that they feel they were able to remove it all with clean margins. She will need to be monitored for any additional growths that might appear. Sugar takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does she loves to be held and pet. She would make a great lap dog for someone who is patient and will allow her time to get adjusted. This makes sense, as it seems she wasn't really well socialized in new situations or with new people in her previous life. Sugar has shown to be good with other low key small dogs. Charlotte/Sugar's adoption donation of $200 helps cover some of her medical expenses. Application, reference checks, and home visit required.
