About Minnie Pennie

Meet Miss Minnie Pennie! She is a 12 year old red Miniature Pinscher who weighs about 10 -12 pounds. She originally came from a hoarding situation and was owner surrendered to the shelter, which is where we got her from. We couldn't believe her estimated age when they told us because she looks and acts so much younger. Minnie loves to be around other dogs. She is a very sweet and playful dog who enjoys being outside and running around. A fenced in yard would be good for her, as well as maybe another dog for company. She isn't housebroken yet but we are working with her on that and expect to see good progress now that she is on a regular schedule. Dogs with her background are not used to being around people very much and she is a little skittish with new faces at first. She does warm up quickly though. She is good with older children but hasn't been tested with small children or cats. Minnie prefers to sleep in her own bed at night at the moment. That may change as she starts to feel more comfortable with her surroundings. Overall she is a good girl and is long overdue her opportunity to live the life of a normal pet.
