About Lilly (west)

German Shepherd / Golden Retriever
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is LILLY - ID#A3146668 I am a spayed female, tan and white German Shepherd Dog and Golden Retriever. The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Mar 21, 2019. Say hello to lovely Lilly! Seven year old Lilly has so much to offer a new family. Just look at that face- how can you help yourself from smiling?! Lilly promises to make you smile every day if you adopt her. She is a friendly gal with the perfect amount of energy. She isn't crazy hyper by any means, but she still enjoys walks and a little activity. Lilly walks well on the leash and does the cutest little prance/hop when she's excited. And guys, guess what? Lilly knows another language! She knows 'sit' in Spanish ('sientate')! That said, she doesn't seem to know the command in English. Not to worry though if you don't know Spanish. All you really need to communicate with Lilly, is LOVE. Lilly was surrendered to the shelter when she injured a small dog. The notes don't specify if this was a small dog she lived with, or a random small dog. Either way, we recommend no small dogs for Lilly in her new home. Her former family said she did well with farm animals (chickens), children ages 1-17, ok with dogs her size and didn't bother the cats in the home. They said she is not destructive in the house, and likes walks and squeaky/chew toys. Lilly is used to family life, and the shelter has been hard on her. She is always sitting on the outside portion of her kennel hoping to catch someone's eye when they walk by. She seemed a bit anxious during our time together, and I've no doubt she is confused and sad to suddenly find herself in a kennel for over two months when she had a home. Lilly deserves another home, and a forever home this time around! Lilly did well overall with her dog eval- she was tolerant and mostly kept to herself in the yard. If you have a dog at home already, bring them in and we can help everyone meet. 'URGENT' If you have no breed restrictions, please call ASAP = 520-800-4633
