About Basjan

BASJAN - 7 YEAR OLD MALE - GAUTENG Basjan is currently in Pretoria. His owners rehomed him before they moved overseas, but the people who took him in cannot keep him, so Spaniel Welfare were asked to assist to find him a forever home. Are there any available foster homes that are able to take Basjan in ASAP? He is feeling a bit abandoned at the moment, and needs some basic rehabilitation, as he is suffering from a bit of separation anxiety, resource guarding, and not wanting to get out of vehicles when he gets in them. Poor boy. It is so strange for him without his family around, as they were all he knew. We just need an experienced home or foster home to help him get over a few small issues so he is feeling completely balanced again. Basjan does not know cats. He grew up with other dogs, but can be a bit dominant, particularly towards smaller dogs. Basjan will bark at strangers, but he is good with children he knows. Basjan enjoys swimming, bathing, and getting his hair brushed. He loves to sit on your lap, and enjoys it when you stroke his heads and ears.
