About Chipper

Little Chipper is feeling a lot more chipper now than when he came to us. Chipper is a 10 pound, senior Papillion. Shortly after he arrived his foster home noticed that he was not really using one of his back legs. We had it x-rayed and found that his femur that suffered a previous break, was stuck under his pelvis which had to be causing him pain. The only remedy was to remove the leg. Now Chipper is a tri-pod dog, but feeling much better and doing well. He is now fully healed from his surgery and ready for a new start in a new home. Chipper was such a good sport through his surgery and recovery. His tail never stops wagging unless he is sleeping. Chipper gets along well with other dogs, but he is not really interested in interacting with the other dogs, so he would also do well as the only dog in his home. He loves the attention he gets from his people. He has a raspy sounding bark, but he doesn't use it much. He will get vocal if you are being a bit slow with his meal prep. He also makes an adorable moaning sound when you scratch him around his ears. He also loves belly rubs. Chipper is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. He also recently had a teeth cleaning. He is all ready to meet his new people.
