About Oscar (west)

Hi, my name is OSCAR - ID#A4254299 I am a neutered male, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old, and I have been at the shelter since May 06, 2019. Don't let this handsome guys kennel presences fool you. He is such a love and good listener. He can be rather hyper in his kennel. When you tell him to 'sit', he will. Sometimes he can be mouthy when he is hyped up because the kennels can get very loud and chaotic, and make him hyper. Other times he is easy to leash and walks well. Oscar is not reactive to other dogs. He knows sit, shake and lay down. He thinks he is a lap dog. Once Oscar gets out of his kennel, he walks great on a leash. When he takes treats, you have to give them with an open hand. sometimes he thinks fingers are part of the treat. Oscar has been in the shelter for over a month and may begin to show signs of kennel deterioration. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people. Oscar is about to go on the euthanasia list. If you want a loving, loyal companion who will shower you with unconditional love for the rest of his life, this beautiful little guy is your guy.
