Louie is a fun, playful and loving, four-year-old, 52-pound, male white boxer/pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Louie loves to play tug of war and fetch with his humans. He also enjoys belly rubs, walks and playing with select younger large female dogs. Louie is housebroken and crate-trained. He has been professionally trained and knows the commands sit, high-five and shake. He just loves to work and learn new things. He's not a high-maintenance dog. Louie is happy to hang out to cuddle in his dog bed and chew a bone while you work. He is best in a home with adults and teenagers. He bulldozes over small children and is not good with cats or small dogs. He is not a 'dog park' dog. He would love a home as the one and only pet to thoroughly bond with his human. He enjoys food puzzles and other methods of mental stimulation including training classes. He'd love a six-foot-high fenced-in-yard. Without supervision, he can easily hop a four-foot fence. Although he would never hop a fence if his loving family is with him. Louie is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. He stays healthy on a diet of Honest Kitchen dehydrated food. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Louie, please contact Ashley at [email protected] or 630-379-3041. His adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued dogs of Villa Bark Rescue. He is being fostered in Carol Stream, Illinois.
