About Hulky

Pit Bull mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

This boy is a big teddy bear. He's got a heart - and smile - as big as his bum (30kgs, based on our last visit to the vet on 24th April 2019). Despite his size, he's such a goofball and loves to give hugs! Health-wise, he has been neutered, taken Nexgard, had his heart checked for worms (yay, worm-free!) and has taken his first vaccination. His next jab is scheduled on 20th June. Generally, he is healthy but is on a week's antibiotics because he finds his tail itchy for some reason. The antibiotics seem to really help but we'll keep monitoring his progress. He greets us with a big smile and hugs whenever he sees us. He's got huge jaws that he uses to play bite your hand sometimes but he's such a gentle giant that they don't leave marks. Rubs his head against your hand/body because (like a cat!) all he wants is a cuddle. He's a pig who eats anything and everything (even when we stuff tablets in his food haha). Recognises our cars. He's the goodest boy on walks. He doesn't show aggression to other dogs or vehicles, and walks at your pace. So far, he seems to be an efficient pooper. Poops right after eating when we walk him (haha). He also seems to love love love cars and car rides. He'll jump into your car when you open the door for him! Not once did we have to pull on his leash to restrain him from going after something. We even stopped by a food truck for take out - he was an angel! His story: He's a stray who, one day, just appeared at our condo's parking basement and started following us. He has numerous old scars on his body, probably from being scalded by hot water by people but that hasn't stopped him from trusting humans. He hides from sticks and we can only assume he knows, from experience, that it hurts. We've been feeding and bathing him for awhile (deflead, too) but not sure how long we can keep doing this as the condo's residents have been complaining about him as he lingers around in the parking area. We hope to find a good home for this boy as he loves people so much.
