FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED TO SAVE MY LIFE. Macey is sweet, loving senior pup who was dumped at a high kill shelter after her beloved owner died last year. Even though she is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet, she just can't catch a break. For 18 months she has been passed over for adoption in favor of lighter-colored and younger dogs. She is very laid back so she would make an excellent companion for an retired couple or person. She just wants to be a couch potato by night, and lounge around the back yard taking in the sights and sounds of the season by day. Although she gets along with most other dogs, she wants to be the apple of your eye, soaking up all the attention for herself. Just 7 years young and 50lbs, this lab/terrier mix needs out of kennel now or she may be euthanized. The kennel recently determined she is allergic to chicken which has caused some hair loss. Her new diet is restoring the shine and health to this sweet gal's coat but volunteers fear it still won't help her compete with the other shelter pups.
