About MAXIE

WOOF! I'M MAX! I am a 3-year-old white-and-black male pointer/boxer mix, possibly pit or American Bulldog, and I have a loyal personality! I require an active couple or individual to be my human(s) and understand that I will love and protect. I am a little shy and wary of new people but I warm up once I know you are cool! I can run and play for hours. I love the water, and am smart. I will look you directly in the eye for direction and do as you ask as long as you are an alpha human. The respect factor comes into play because I am an amazing dog. I will bond with my human(s) and you will be my 'people for life.' I will thrive in an adult-only home with people who don't do a lot of entertaining, and I can live with a very submissive large breed female dog after slow, proper introductions. I need a fenced yard. I am also kennel-trained and do excellent in the home for periods of time. I enjoy walks on a leash and I do great with an experienced dog person.
