About Bentley

For Adoption. Located in southern NJ This is adorable Bentley. A Morky -poo 2yrs.6 months old. Weight 15lbs Fine with other dogs his size or smaller out in yard but wants to dominate dogs in the home does better with female dogs No children please as he can be possessive of toys and food. Warms up to women quicker then men but is protective of his person.so needs a very low keyed home preferably with a single person or savy couple .Has bite history. His person must have exsperience with dogs with issues like Bentley that were not socialized properly and have fear aggression/unpredictable. Bentley will continue to thrive in the right home and with continued socializing !! He does not mind being picked up putting his leash harness and collar on. He needs to be on a scedule to continue with potty training he has being doing good . He is crate trained Loves going for walks Knows some basic commands He does show good potential and will do well with continued training. He will need grooming periodically ! Bently needs a home with a SAVY owner/adoptor who understand and will continue working on modification behavior and with him. He can be protective of his person so may cause him to be unpredictable at times Small dogs do tend to be more nippy and all dogs have behavioural issues if not socialized and corrected when young that's why its very important to teach them when young or they are set u for failure then owners dont want them any more this is the harsh reality we all see in rescue situations. *He acquires some one to give him tons of attention and not let him nip as he can be nippy and apparently did nip and bite people if he can't get his own way this happened in the home where he was tested not outside the home but we did notice he is unpredictable at times. Bentley is neutured and utd on all shots. Loves walks. Allows petting and to hold him. Allowed to be groomed nails cut and ears cleaned. He had a heartworm & lymes test which was negative and he is on heartworm prevention.Flea and tick prevention. Is microchipped. Dewormed. Had the lymes prevention vaccine and boster. Bentley does have a sensitive stomach so his food should be for sensitive stomach. He does tend to get car sickness so should be crated or pet carrier to transport him plus it's best not to feed before transporting. We ar sure of his total past but were told he was slapped and kicked to correct him , we can only imagine the abuse he endured in which deffinetly has left him with emotional issues and causes his bad behavior. We try to observe as much as possible and what causes him to act out so we know what needs attention so we are aware and alert of his issues that need working on. Bentley is an owner surrendered . His owner bought him.from a breeder at 4 months old. He does get over stimulated in busy situations and will act out so a calm home is a must. He does love to play ball and walks. If intrested, an adoption application needs to be filled out and approved.
