About Bojangles

Bojangles is a fetching 7 month old pup and is about 45 lbs. While we are not sure on breed, husky mix or GSD mix make our short list. We expect he will be medium/large sized when full grown. He is neutered, up to date on shots, micro chipped and on heart worm prevention. We found Bojangles in a rural Louisiana shelter and he was listed as deaf and just 6 weeks old. Luckily we had a local foster who was able to go and pull him and foster him for the first few weeks until he could make his way to TN. Once here, we discovered that he does have some hearing ability. He has been fostered with a dog trainer who has been working with him on both clicker, whistle and remote vibration collar training. We don't know how his hearing will progress or digress as he gets older, so any family who adopts sweet Bo must continue working on his training. His trainer has offered to help Bo's new family with training techniques and routines to help them get on the right track. We are working on potty training, but that is something that will need to be continued in her new home with lots of love and support. Bo is a sweet and loving pup who is excelling in his foster home and with his training. He is smart and eager to learn. He is crate and leash trained. He does well with other dogs, cats and kids and would do best with another young companion dog to play with. To try to keep Bo as safe as possible, we are requiring a physically fenced in yard. We also would prefer to adopt him out within a 2 hour radius of Cookeville, TN due to his special needs. Bojangles is currently located in Tennessee and the adoption fee is $250. Transportation may be available to out of state adopters for an additional cost depending on the area. The first step in our process is submitting the application.
