For weeks she would roam, drinking water from the Bay, eating whatever was left for her in various areas by concerned neighbors. Her puppies were nowhere to be found. One of those concerned neighbors contacted us. Members of our organization made up their minds they were going to capture Amelia before harm befell her and capture her they did. Once Amelia settled in a bit we then had her spayed, rabies vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Negative! Amelia has tremendous depth to her thinking. She seems to have a 6th sense about people, places and situations. Affectionate to the core and obedient, Amelia has made us proud! In the mornings she goes outside with her buddy Yukon, then waits by the door to come in for breakfast. She waits patiently until it's time for her to go outside or go for her daily walk. Speaking of which, she is a joy on the leash. Amelia is leery of strangers, but once she is confident she can trust that stranger she's a cuddlebug. Too many dog food manufacturers have no concern for what they put into their dog food. Junk goes into some of these foods. Corn! And who suffers for this greed? The dogs who are fed that same food. We all want our dogs to live as long as possible and as healthy as possible. Nutrition appropriate to a dog's natural biological need is the key. Rotate dog foods! No one dog food had it all. Why feed a dog the same food bag after bag? No reason what so ever. Raw diets should be considered. We feed our dogs a combination of kibble, raw egg, raw meat and various vegetables. We are known for the health of our dogs.
