About Toby

Hi! It's me Toby! Some say I'm quiet and shy but it's probably because People weren't always that nice to me. The shelter staff think I spent most of my time tied up in the back yard and from the wounds I was brought in with, it looks like something must have attacked me. Between that and the ingrown collar, I don't think things were great in my past life. I know there's a lot of good people but I've had my share of the bad so you can't blame me for being skeptical. But once I know that you re here to love me and the pets are coming my way, Woopi! I'm in your lap in a minute! After all, I just want to be friends. I'm good with other dogs and cats as well. Now all I want is to find a home that I can be part of. Toby is a 3 year old, 35 lb sweet and timid guy. His records just say mix breed but his rescuers think he may be a black mouth cur mix. He loves affection and needs a home where he can gain his confidence to blossom into his potential. At 35 lbs, he's small enough to slip under the radar at most pet friendly weight restricted housing and big enough to be join you in all fun activities. Consider Toby! He's a great guy!
