About URGENT - DOTTIE HINSON

A5252176 Dottie Hinson is a smiley 2-year-old black-with-white spayed female Pit Bull mix (we think she has a good splash of Australian Cattle Dog) who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on January 26th. Weighing 62 lbs, Dottie has a happy, outgoing personality. Her tail wags non-stop when you talk with her, pet her, or give her any indicator of attention. We love how attentive and sweet she is, and know you will too! Her specialty is smooching. Dottie walks okay on leash and with a little polishing of her leash manners, will be a perfect companion to join you for daily walks. She already knows how to sit on command, and given how eager she is to please her human, we think she will learn new skills quickly with positive reinforcement training methods. Dottie has some barrier reactivity toward other dogs (which means she barks at other dogs in their kennels or through fences), but when she was out in our doggy playgroup, she did perfectly fine and accepted corrections from both female and male dogs when she was too pushy with them. We think she would do fine in a home with another medium to large dog provided her adopters follow all recommended protocols for integrating dogs (such as separate crate time). She has plenty of love to satisfy all your needs for a canine companion and would also be a great solo dog.
