About Jed

Hello! My name is Jed and I'm a street dog from South Africa that now calls Canada home. I was found malnourished and lived in a garden with a pack of dogs for my first 5 months of life. I am a shepherd/ridgeback mix and I am full of love and energy! I absolutely LOVE meeting new people and love telling everyone all about myself. I unfortunately don't like young children (under 12) for long periods of time. I would love a home with a big fenced in yard so I can run and run and run! I have done lots of training so I know all my commands but I get so excited that I forget to listen if I'm not at home, this means I need to be on a choke leash if I'm out the house or getting into the car, please don't take me to busy places, I just can't contain my excitement! I only like quiet lady dogs as I'm a bit of a dominant boy and I love to sleep through the night in my parents room. I'm looking for a strong experienced owner that can give me some rules and boundaries. ** we are devastated that we have to rehome Jed, he is loved beyond measure but he has begun growling at our 14 month old son despite training and medication. It has become unmanageable however he never displayed aggression before our sons arrival and has always been very loving, Jed is unhappy with his current situation and we just want him to live the life he deserves especially with the rough start he had.
