About Garlo (west)

Hi, my name is GARLO - ID#A4238785 I am a neutered male, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old., and I have been at the shelter since Apr 12, 2019. Garlo is a 7 year old mellow dog who walks very nicely on the leash. He might take a moment to warm up to you but then he'll try to sit on your lap for booty scratches, with the occasional appreciative face kiss. His dog evaluation was neutral, he allowed all greetings but became a bit wary when approached quickly. He coexisted but didn't have much interaction with the other dogs so he would probably benefit from socialization. If you already have a dog in the home, definitely bring him/her for a meet and greet before considering taking Garlo home with you. Garlo is becoming resistant to returning his kennel after being out, and may begin to show signs of kennel deterioration. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people.
