Are you an active outdoor person looking for an adventurous fur baby to join you on your many adventures? Or do you have/need discipline and structure in your life like me? Well I may be the right one for you! Hi everyone. I'm King and I'm a 2-3 year old pit mix. I'm medium size weighing about 50 lbs and have soft, dark brindle fur. I was found as a stray on the Philly streets almost 2 years ago with a leg injury in an ice storm no less but I've been fully recovered thanks to NARPS. Oh and sadly I'm one of their longest residents. Why you ask? Well you see I'm very high energy and it's clear I wasn't socialized or trained properly or at all when I was a young boy which is why I need discipline and structure. My pawesome trainer and I have been working very hard and I'm ready to transition to a person or family who is also disciplined, structured and committed like me. I know the sit, place, crate and other commands. I love treats, playing fetch, cuddling under blankets (as you can see from the pics in my album), and my favorite belly rubs! But those have to be my rewards for being a good boy who listens to you. I will only be placed with older kids (13 years old & up). I don't like cats or other small animals. Only with the right situation am I able to live with other dogs. I'm very loyal and love to be by your side wherever you are (I think I'm called a velcro dog) so I'd be happy to be your sidekick, your wingman or whatever. I love car rides so take me on lots of adventures! I would make a good partner for anyone who likes to run, jog, speed walk, leisurely walk or hike. I would love to find my furever family and home so I can enjoy the great outdoors! The good news is my trainer will work with me and my new family during and after my transition thanks to NARPS.
