About Seymour (east)

Hi, my name is SEYMOUR ID#A4253538 I am a neutered male, black and tan German Shepherd Dog mix. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since May 02, 2019. This gentle and dainty boy is feeling under the weather right now. He came into the shelter a little timid and being sick isn't helping. When we spent time together in the yard he leaned in for petting and gently nosed my hand when I would stop. He is a sweet, although shy boy. He may prefer older kids who understand that he is shy. He walks politely on leash and did ok with calm dogs and briefly did attempt to play. He probably hasn't had a lot of exposure to other dogs and we do not know how he would do with small dogs or cats. Seymour has been at the shelter almost a month, and like most other dogs, may begin to deteriorate. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people. Unless Seymour is adopted soon, he will go on the list for euthanasia. Please consider Seymour for your family. He will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and unconditional love.
