11 year old purebred bengal. Neutered before 7 months old, microchipped, current on vaccines and flea treatments. We rehomed him due to him spraying in the house. Our neighbors maintain a feral cat colony, and the cats pee against our doors and windows, and he was spraying against the doors and windows from the inside. The person who we rehomed him to said he was fine, never sprayed indoors, would play outside while she weeded then come back inside and was loving and cuddly. But then after 2 months of positive stories from her, we got a call from a good samaritan who had found him wandering...50 miles from the house who adopted him, still wearing the collar/tags we had on him when we gave him to them. The rehome person said she would come get him, then ghosted us, so I don't know if her stories of his success at her home can be trusted. I wish I could guarantee that he won't spray if you have him as an only cat not in the midst of a feral cat colony, but I can't. He is a very good kitty and will purr and knead when picked up by a human. He's a good boy but because of the peeing problem, we can't keep him. We've tried everything we can think of, as well as multiple vets. He doesn't have anything wrong with him (except a mild flea allergy). He lives in a cage in our yard until we can rehome him. If someone doesn't take him, we are going to take him to a shelter. If you want to try, please let me know what you think you can do for him and what will happen to him if your efforts don't work. He was free before, but now our trust is broken so I've put on a donation fee. I'll waive it if you can prove you'll be a good home for him and provide an emergency contact who won't ghost us, etc. I don't want any money, but he deserves a stable home.
