My name is AMADEA, ID#A4253450 I am a spayed female, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix, a d I weigh about 84 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since May 02, 2019. Amadea makes an impression quickly. As I walked her around the shelter everyone said 'Oh I just love her!'. She is one of those dogs whose photos are not necessarily the cutest but meeting her in person is a whole different story. She is chubby and her body tells the tale of having WAY too many litters and calories. May have been rescued from a puppy mill. Her skin is in poor condition. She would really benefit from a diet, high quality food and a home environment. Vet staff at the shelter did not find any underlying skin disease. She did coexist with another dog but really isn't comfortable with dogs in her space, especially if they are high energy. With as many puppies as she's had to deal with, I think she may just prefer all the attention herself. We do not know how she is with small dogs or cats. Amadea is very gentle and dainty, and totally loves people. It's time this sweet girl was given a rest, and given the chance to live in a real home with proper nutrition and love.
