About Kenzie

Hi, my name is KENZIE, ID# A4238080 I am a spayed female, white and tan American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old, and weigh about 46 lbs. Kenzie was found by a caring stranger who stated she was just roaming around the neighborhood, and has been at the shelter since Apr 09, 2019. Kenzie is a timid, sweet girl. She caught a cold after coming into the shelter and is struggling to get better in the loud, stressful environment. She would do so much better in a home. Kenzie is a bit stop and go on leash, I don't think anyone has ever taught her. I carried her some of the way to the yard to spend time with her. Kenzie is a calm, shy lapdog. She is not leash trained but doesn't pull. Kenzie is a doll. She has an easy leash pull and return. She is a little fearful at times and looks to handler for guidance and then has short bursts of confidence/energy and gets more adventurous. She wants to sit on top of you and is very sweet. The person who found her said she was very friendly with everyone she met and was roaming around but no owner came forward to claim her during stray hold. She's been somewhat submissive with dogs and prefers calm interactions. She would do best with a confident dog pal, who doesn't pick on her shy nature. Because of the extended time Kenzie has been in the shelter, she is in immediate danger to go on the euthanasia list. Please consider Kenzie as your next family member.
