About Fluffy

Meet Fluffy Our hearts are breaking for Fluffy. Fluffy, along with her mom (Sweetie) and two siblings (Eddie and Pandy), were owner surrendered on May 5, 2019. Victims of divorce, Fluffy is traumatized by this change and huddles with her family or in the corner trying to pretend that she's not at the shelter. Fluffy and her family have only ever known the quiet and safety of a home and the shelter is a loud, scary place for one who was once so protected. Fluffy is a six year old Shih Tzu mix with a wire-haired coat. Her eyes express her every emotion and right now they show how scared she is. She is very shy and trembles in fear. She could sure use some TLC to quiet her fears and let her know things will get better. Having spent some time with Fluffy, we're certain she'll blossom under the kind hand of someone who shows they care. Fluffy is house-trained and walks well on a leash. Fluffy will need to be adopted with her sister Pandy. The girls are bonded and seek each other for comfort. If you're looking for two small dogs to be your faithful companions, come meet Fluffy and Pandy. You'll be glad you did. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
