About Brownie

Brownie is a sweet loving 3 year old fur baby. She is a little nervous when meeting new people but once she warms up to you she will want to be around you all the time. Most of the time she thinks she is a lap dog and will try to fit all 70 lbs. of her on you lap for some cuddle time! She loves hiking and lots of fetch to get all her energy out, once she is tired out she wants to just snuggle under the blankets and sleep for hours. She enjoys swimming but still hasn't quite figured out how to not get water in her mouth so she will cough. She is also great at bath time! Brownie loves to be the center of attention and sometimes gets a little jealous when she has the share with other dog. She does love to be around and play with other dogs but can get a bit toy possessive so I try to keep toys away when with other dogs. Brownie does have some separation anxiety and will whine when first left alone - she has also been known to chew up a remote or a shoe or two due to the anxiety. I have tried to help this with just moving all chewable items away from reach and also giving her a Kong or bone filled with peanut butter or something while I'm away to keep her occupied. Brownie is definitely a sleeper and will have to be pulled out of bed or woken up for morning potty time. She is extremely potty trained and never has accidents in the house. Brownie will be quickly become your best friend and favorite snuggle buddy and will always greet with you a lick and tail wag! She is in need of a loving family with a stable household preferably with a fenced in backyard. She Does not like cats and has been known to be aggressive towards neighborhood cats and strays, other than that she is a sweet dog with a great heart. Wish we could keep her but due to our current housing situation we cannot.
