About Dakota

Dakota is one of our dogs that will greatly benefit from a home and life outside the kennel. She has so much love to give. In the kennel she is quite anxious and has a lot of nervous energy. For that reason she does not show well at all in the kennel. She thrives on attention outside the kennel. In the play yard one of her favorite things is to sit on the bench and cuddle and spend time with her favorite staff or volunteers. She likes to have a good run in the play yard. After exercise and, affection and treats, Dakota is much more likely to settle in on her bed when she returns to the kennel especially late in the day, when things start to quiet down. Dakota has participated in some of the group walks and enjoys them very much and is given some extra, respectful space as she gets acclimated. Her body language is decidedly more relaxed as the walk goes on.She is very people friendly, loves attention, totally enjoyed a bath and acted like she was at a spa day.
