About Mellow

It is with a heavy and broken heart that I have to try and rehome my dog Mellow. He is an 11 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mixed with German Shepard. I rescued him from the SPCA in Salisbury MD when I was in college. So young. So naive. But then he became my bestest buddy. We have traveled across the country together, 4 times to be exact, and he has always been by my side through the toughest of growing pains, loving me no matter what, with a wagging tail. The bad news: When he was about 3 yrs old he was attacked by another dog and progressively developed unpredictable aggressive behavior. Therefore, he can not live in a home with any small/ young children that dont understand to leave him be and stay away from his food whe he eats. He also needs to be the only dog in the home because he is unpredictable. Now that my daughter is a year old, I have to keep them separated and worry constantly, and I dont want that life for Mellow or my family. The good news: I know there is someone out there that is searching for him. He is the best companion a girl (or guy) could ask for! He loves to go walk the beach and lounge in the sun and is wonderful in the car if you like road trips. He is a sweet, snuggle bunny and he is house trained and over all well behaved! He knows how to shake with both paws and say 'I Love You!' I want to help pay for his food and flea/tick medicine and will supply everything I have for him: leash, harness, car seat cover, brush, etc. I would love to develop a relationship with whoever he goes to because I would love to come visit him often! He is a senior boy so in he is in great health, just slowing down. If you are the angel that I have been praying for for my sweet boy, please call or text me!!
