About Daisy

Foster Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $50 Age: 11 1/2 Breed: Doberman mix Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Daisy is the sweetest girl! She came to Fuzzy Pawz after spending months in a shelter with no one even looking at her. Their loss is our gain and yours! This beauty is just a lazy dog that likes to sleep at your feet or to take a long nap in the sun while in the backyard. She is easy going, gentle and super sweet; perfect for someone who wants a companion to hang out with. She does like to go for a walk every day and is pretty good on leash - but if you are swamped and can't take her out one day she's okay with that as long as she gets some quality time with her humans. We have never seen her around kids but due to her age we think she'd be better with no kids or older kids so aren't so active. Daisy is house trained and dog door trained; she does okay in a crate but has pretty good house manners if you don't want to crate her. While she is well past the chewing stage of a puppy she has been known to counter surf once in a while if you leave out something super tempting and she's bored. She doesn't get on furniture and is not a barker (though she will join in if the other dog in her foster home starts it). She is great with other dogs but not sure she would put up with a hyperactive dog or puppy - she is in her golden years after all. We have never had her around cats but with proper introduction and a calm/mellow older cat she might be fine. Daisy is very healthy but she does have a urine leakage problem. When she first came to us it was really bad but with medication she is doing much better. She has only had a leakage problem once in a great while since starting medication and that has been while she was sleeping. A puppy pad on her bed just in case she has an accident is all that is needed. She is down to maybe 1 time a week now versus multiple times a day prior to medication. She is currently on Proin (approx $8/month) and Incurin (approx $15/month). If you are looking for an easy going, super sweet companion then Daisy is your girl!
