About Valentine

We adopted Valentine from a local animal shelter almost 3 years ago (he's now 6). He's been a great companion & a sweet dog, but we unfortunately do not have the time/attention to dedicate to him with a new baby in our lives. He's not getting the walks he deserves, & I think he knows he's been dethroned as our #1 baby. Valentine is house broken & well behaved unless he senses he's not being given proper attention. He's an angel when by himself while we are at work, but can be mischievous when we are home & not focused on him. He is kennel trained & will happily go in his kennel, but he's always perfect in our absence so we leave him out to sleep on the bed. He's been very good for the dog sitter that's cared for him (Rover) when we've gone on vacations. Although he can be a bit nervous & timid with new people, he's not aggressive, just shy, & he does warm up to you if you give him some time. He loves to play with toys & curl up to watch TV.
