Breed: Maybe Plott Hound or other hound mixed with a Spitz breed like a Shiba Inu. Good with other dogs: yes. Prefers calmer dogs that don't get in his face though. Does better with females than males and doesn't do well with dominant dogs or intact male dogs. Proper introduction is necessary. Good with cats: yes Good with children: loves children. He can be a bit of a jumper though so better that children are at least 6 years old. Up-to-date on vaccines? yes micro-chipped? yes neutered? yes heart worm status? negative any known health issues? no Good on the leash? will pull. We are working on some stuff and he's getting better on the leash but he will need a stronger handler (adult for sure) for walks. Rhett gets really excited when he sees another dog out on walks. He will also try to chase cars that go by too fast or too close. Basic obedience: sit, shake, down. We are working on come and stay. House-trained? fully crate-trained? loves his crate energy level? high. Requires a couple of good, long walks but will settle nicely between the walks.
