Name: Cowgirl of Brookshire Sex: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Poodle (Toy) (long coat) Weight: 15 lbs Height: in Estimated Birthdate: 12/5/2008 Fence Needed: No Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Adoption Fee:$400 for the pair Date into Rescue: 4/17/2019 Reason for being in rescue: Cowgirl and her siblings were loving surrendered by their owner whose health no longer allowed her to care for her babies Special Needs: none noted What kind of home would be best for me: Cowgirl and her brother Cowboy are litter mates who were born less than 12 minutes apart. They have been together their entire lives and are looking for a home that has room in their heart for both babies. Cowgirl is the more easy-going, affectionate of the two. What is my personality like: Cowgirl and her brother Cowboy arrived at Dreamweaver Farms in a blaze of glory. They had clearly been loved and well fed, but were in terrible need of baths. Underneath the hair a beautiful princess was waiting to be revealed! Cowgirl prefers to be picked up and will beg to do so! In fact, begging is part of Cowgirl's charm. If you have a treat she will stand on her hind legs and ask for it. If you are in close proximity she will stand on her hind legs and ask to be held. When you walk into the room, Cowgirl is the eager face waiting to great you. Cowgirl loves a good slinky toy to drag around, especially if it squeaks. She doesn't care about tennis balls though. She is a lady on the leash and does not pull the least bit, she loves to go on walks. As soon as the leash is on she is ready to go trot around in the grass. She clearly knows what a crate is and is very well crate trained. \ Cowgirl is unbothered by cats, loud noises, strangers.. Nothing really bothers her or makes her nervous. She is a true princess with anyone and everything she meets.. gentle and sweet! How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly Tips and Tidbits: House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
