About Erick

Take a look at Erick! This handsome cat has gorgeous sparkling eyes and shiny black fur with a tuft of white on his chest for good measure. Erick arrived at DAWS after being trapped and started out being very shy of humans. However, he is making great strides and now enjoys being pet with a slow, gentle approach. And this boy LOVES to play...he has been caught trying to steal toys from the toy bin that is next to his cage! He is a smart and curious boy and is definitely an active cat. Erick was rescued from outside with his buddy Nala, who are quite fond of each other. They can be adopted together or separately. He needs a patient adopter who is willing to let him fully come out of his shell in his own time. But we are sure he will come along once he feels safe and secure in a loving home where he does not need to brave being outside again!
