About Ava

Ava is a sweet senior who is looking for a calm, quiet home for her to live out her remaining years. Ava is a senior lady (at least 12 years old) who is completely blind. She would need to find a home without access to stairs or railings where she could potentially fall. This little ball of fluff only weighs about 6.5 lbs, although she looks much bigger. We think she would do best in an all adult home without a lot of activity. She spends most of the day snoozing or exploring her surroundings, but about once a day she gets the 'zoomies' for about 30 seconds. She loves sniffing around outside, but if you are looking for a walking buddy she would need to be carried or in a stroller. She does well with potty training if taken out on a routine basis. She had some mammary masses removed and unfortunately, one of the 3 did come back as cancerous. Our vets believe that it was all removed, however, she will need to be monitored for any new growths as it can come back. She can startle easily and needs to be approached slowly since she cannot see you. Ava's adoption donation of $100 helps to cover the cost of her medical care.
