About Briar

Briar is a 7 year old, 60 pound black lab that my husband received as a foster at 6 months old. We do not know his exact genetic makeup. He is loving and thinks he is a lap dog. Even at 7, he still acts like a puppy and wants love and affection. He is good with kids, but my kids are very young and he knocks them down by accident. He also has a very active tail. It bleeds sometimes because he hits it so hard, so he might be better off living outside. He has skin allergies but this is easily controlled with apoquel. He takes a pill and a half a day in his food and this keeps him from scratching. We can no longer keep him but are trying desperately to find him a new home. A shelter is our absolute last resort.
