About Alfie

*This dog has a bite history and needs to have an experienced adopter. Alfie is 9 years old and weighs about 17 lbs. He was owned by one woman his entire life. When she passed away, her adult children did not want her. They contacted Alfie's life-long dog groomer who contacted me asking for help. While Al has been with us, it is obvious that the owner did not correct his dominance and therefore, little Alfie thinks he's the Man of the House. Going for car rides is like a day at Disney for this cutie pie! He loves going for walks and walks well on a leash. The other dogs here at the rescue have taught him how to be a model canine, but his history of biting has made him adaptable only to someone familiar with this type of behavior. Once he realizes he is not the leader, he's a very affectionate boy. This boy would be best in a quiet home - no kids, do cats, no dogs. Alfie has been neutered, vaccinated, and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Fees have been waived for this dog in hopes that we may find him a permanent home.
