We are going to be extremely cautious and particular with who adopts our Little Miss Lilly. We pulled this 8 year old, 13 pound girl from Hernando County Animal Services on 2/20/19. The vet said that she had most likely been hit by a car 3 months to a year previously. We took her to a Tampa surgical specialist who took radiographs and agreed with the county vet and due to the length of lost time after the accident, she would not benefit from surgery. Rather than surgery, our rescue has taken Lilly to veterinarians who specialize in LASER therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapy since March. These therapies have made Lilly more flexible and comfortable. She will require monthly LASER therapies. Lilly also enjoys going for walks in her wheelchair. She is a very affectionate and loving girl who is so deserving of a qualified adopter. Due to her medical issue, she cannot urinate on her own and her bladder must be expressed about 3 times daily. If you think you've got what it takes to bring our special little girl into your home, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request an application to adopt. She will only be available to Hernando and surrounding counties. If a suitable home is not found, then she will stay with our loving rescue who cares deeply for this angel. We are not in any hurry.
