Over a year ago, our Allie angel was rescued. We wish we could say that was the end of her hard life, but it was just the beginning. Allie was found in an abandoned trailer park which flooded. We are unsure if she was left there, wandered there or was dropped off. It was not a safe area, so there is no telling. She was living under one of the trailers and her only friends were the stray cats. The rescuer that found her reached out to us for help. We knew this baby has been through a lot and was very confused! Since the beginning Allie has had complicating allergies and has had it pretty rough. No, she couldn't go out and play with other dogs. She couldn't sleep or eat or rest without itching. She itched until she bled. She had baths every day. She had to wear PJs. And through the course of all of this, doctors struggled to pinpoint the root of her allergies. She was tested over and over, placed on so many different oral and skin medications we lost count. Thousands of dollars later and too many days to count, she is slowly making progress. We refuse to give up on Allie. Even though she has her bad days, she doesn't let that get her down! She is the perfect balance of playful and calm! She loves to be silly and play around but she also loves to nap. ! She is now about 2 years old, good with other dogs, cats, and kids, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. She deserves a stable happy life!
