About Bowie

I'm Bowie! I am estimated to be a 6-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. I'm a big boy, weighing about 75 lbs and I came to OPH from South Carolina, so I'm a southern gentleman. Howdy-do! My foster mom thinks I'm awesome! She says I'm crate-trained, I haven't had a single accident in my foster home, and I only bark when the other dogs in my foster home bark to welcome someone home. I sometimes talk and sing when my food is being prepared, because I love mealtime! I also get very excited about going out and I spring about 3 feet straight up off the ground when it's time to go! I am a strong boy, so I get walked on an easy-walk harness, which works well for me. My foster mom says I'm smart to avoid obstacles and not get my leash tangled around them. Yay, me! I am a 'people' dog, so I love to be with my foster family and getting attention. I can get nervous and anxious around other dogs, so I would probably do best in a home as an only dog, but I think I would do well in almost any environment: apartment, townhouse, single-family home.
