About Dunkin

Hi, my name is Dunkin! I'm a 3-year-old, 50-pound Lab mix originally from Puerto Rico where my litter mates and I were found in a cardboard box but then brought to the mainland. It was scary, but some nice people found all of us a home in the USA! Happy ending, right? Unfortunately not, because I went to a new family all by myself, while my siblings were adopted in pairs. I was adopted all alone, living with different kids who have two legs instead of the usual four. Unlike my furry siblings, these type of kids were mean and even broke my leg. Well, one day I had had enough and I'm sorry to say that I growled at the baby. After that, I heard the people say a bad word - euthanasia! The family wanted me put down, but thankfully they called around for other options first. It's an ironic story, but the person who saved me is the famous Dog Lady of the Oceanview Kennels in Revere, MA! That's how a got my fun-loving foster mom who thinks I'm just wonderful! We go on nice long walks with her other dogs. I walk really well on a leash but I also go on these way-cool pack walks with Miss Maura at Clear Skies Dog Training! I'm housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on all my vaccines. I like to play, be outdoors, have a good rub, and after a long day, chill out. I think Nutro Max dry food is yummy and bully sticks are the bomb. But, when I'm in my crate with precious things like a toy or treat, I have some issues with resource guarding. Besides that, everyone says I'm one genuine sweet pup. I'm a huge people person and always look forward to meeting new friends at some of the shelter events. I love all types of dogs and my best buddy here is a little bitty fur kid. I sure would like my new family to have a dog or maybe two, or three! I'm still uncomfortable around children so I'm looking for a nice couple or a family with older teens. Though I've never played with cats, I pass them by each day in the kennel and just keep on walking. Bottom line, though I have a wonderful foster mom and lots of dog friends, I've been here for a long time and just want a home of my very own.
