About Blue

Adoption Fee: $250
Redbone Coonhound
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Adoption info can be found here in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link: http://dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Blue is a beautiful purebred Redbone Coonhound that was born on March 19, 2017, and is currently weighing in at 75 lbs. He is already house and crate trained (although he is fine out of the crate when his people are not around also.) Blue has been fully obedience trained, and his trainer will personally meet with his potential adopters before the home visit. Blue is wary with strangers and takes a while to trust, but when he does he is your very best friend. He will need time and space to relax into his new home, and will need structure and guidance to make him a successful member of his new pack. Blue does enjoy doggy friends but doesn't absolutely need them. He is fine with cats, but will sometimes chase them if they run. His ideal home would be with a strong leader that is familiar with the breed, and no children. Being a hunting breed he has lots of energy and will need plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. His big hound ears do have a tendency to get yeast infections so it is important to keep them clean and dry. Blue is a really great dog...he just needs to find his perfect person that will give him what he needs.
