About MAGGIE

We are fostering this girl after finding her w/a 12' metal chain around her neck. She was malnourished, skin and bones. Her owner said she was raised with his six other hounds and was used to hunt bears. He told me she was a mean dog and always ran off. I asked him if I could take her and he dropped her back off to me within minutes of our conversation. She is afraid of most people and I'm sure I am the only person who has ever shown her affection. She loves my other dogs (a 4-yr old beagle and a 15-yr old deaf toy poodle). Maggie sleeps on my bed or couch with me and is now house-broken. I had her vaccinated three weeks ago. I love her to death but work in a retail setting where she is nervous all day and cowers in a corner and/or barks at the customers. She needs a loving home with a patient family. I need to find her a home ASAP. She is VERY affectionate toward me and I know w/some time, she will make a super family dog for someone!
