Hi, These are two indie dogs rescued from a highly abusive home in Kolkata. 1.5 years old, one male one female, excellent temperament, very playful, and inseparable. There's only till the 28th to find them a loving home. No adoption fees; paperwork will be done. The owners had picked them up from Sikkim at a couple of months old and brought them to Kolkata, Salt Lake. There, they were locked in a two foot wide balcony, exposed to the elements, with minimal food and water, and no nurturing. The owners then threw them out. Lively dogs, they both ran on the streets, fueled by young energy and extreme hunger. Soon, people attempted to run them over with motorbikes and cars, and even attempted a poisoning. They survived because of a kind neighbor. Tired of the complaints, the owners finally decided to lock them up in the balcony for good, waiting it out till they starved to death. When rescued, the dogs were found in days' worth of bodily waste, with not a drop of water, in this scorching April sun. There was only a very moldy bowl. It was clear they hadn't been given food in days. After the rescue, these dogs were taken to a foster home. Sadly, their time is up, and we have only till the 28th of April to rehome them. Unless a miracle happens, they will be out on the streets again. No one has shown any interest in them. Because they are indies, and considered low status. Thank you.
