MEET THE DAINTY, SEDUCTIVE BROWN SUGAR !! My name is BROWN SUGAR - ID#A4235826 I am a spayed female, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Apr 06, 2019. When Brown Sugar first came into the shelter on April 6, she was friendly, but very scared, and pulled really hard on the leash. The next day after being in a kennel by herself, she was very fearful when someone approached the kennel. She was in a crouched body posture, and began to run in and out of the outside door. She was shaking, and looking sideways at the volunteer. She would not allow a lead to be put over her head, and kept avoiding it. The next ay, when a volunteer came to visit, Brown Sugar was at the front of the kennel and was happy and wiggling. She went to the play yard and immediately started exploring. She was tolerant of invasive greetings but a bit nervous, and kept looking for way out of the yard. She is social with dogs entering yard, but did not initiate play. After two weeks, Brown Sugar is now a different dog, playing and loving on anyone who approaches her. We hope to find her a home before the dreaded 'kennel deterioration' begins.
