About Prairie

Prairie is a shy 8 month old Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. She weighs 8.7 pounds and doesn't have much growing left to do. Prairie came into AZSDR with 21 other dogs, they were living in a hoarding home where 28 dogs lived in only a 1000 sq foot apartment. The dogs were well cared for but there wasn't much opportunity for them to build trust with their humans. Prairie is very timid and will need a patient home willing to help her learn how to trust. Prairie absolutely loves other dogs and feels most comfortable when she has a canine companion to look to. She will need another dog in the home, and she will need to meet any dogs in the home before adoption. Prairie will blossom in home once she is comfortable! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption fee is $300 and includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet her, come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm.
