About Josie

Bombay / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Female

Hello there! My name is Josie, and I'm a sweet, very chatty, playful black DSH/ Bombay mix gal who was born about November 2018. I have the Bombay mix's shiny coat that's like patent leather and big, round copper-penny eyes. Although I was initially shy, it wasn't long before I warmed up to my foster meowmy, and these days I certainly relish being petted and receiving head/ ear scratches. In fact, now I feel so comfy with my foster meowmy that I cuddle up next to her when she's napping. I get along great with the other foster cats in the house, but I haven't been around dogs or kids yet. I was rescued with my sister from a feral colony by a Good Samaritan who saw our potential to be fully socialized to humans because we were so young. I've transitioned beautifully into being a strictly indoor kitty who loves to play with my toys and other feline companions. Although I adore my foster home, I realize that a home of my very own is best for me. I hope you'll arrange to meet me as one day I want to snuggle next to you! Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. Josie is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Josie, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, submit the online cat adoption application at https://www.bustersfriends.org/cat-adoption-application.
